Halloween Party Provides Safe Fun for All
Despite a stormy forecast all week, the weather held out for the Halloween Party. Thanks go to Dan and Kristen Smith for hosting the festivities in their driveway. Thanks, too, to Dan for grilling over 100 hot dogs! In addition to hot dogs, guests munched on Frito Pie. It was such fun to see all the neighborhood children and some adults in their costumes. The haunted cake walk was a huge hit and each family went home with at least one dessert! Creative Overlook children shined as they decorated little pumpkins!

Christmas Progressive in the Works
It's time once again for the
annual holiday progressive dinner. The date is set for Saturday, December
11th starting at 6:00. The dress will be holiday attire, preferably no jeans.
We will not be asking host families to use good china, it will be your decision
how to serve the food and drinks.
We have two options depending on the number of people willing to host. We
will either have four houses, starting with drinks/appetizers, soups/salads,
sides/entrees and deserts/gift exchange or only have three houses by combining
salads and entrees and possibly staying at that house a little longer.
If you are interested in hosting a course, please let us know by November
15th. We will also be sending a e-mail requesting what you will be making
in the next couple of weeks. Even if you will not be hosting, please let
us know ASAP if you will be attending and how many will be coming with you.

Thank you,
Valkyrie Meek (497-2812) and Rhoda Jarvie (481-0913)

The Overlook wishes to applaud all veterans who have served, or are still serving, our country in the honorable fight for freedom, both at home and abroad. Thank you!
