Overlook Island Overhaul
Thanks to the valiant efforts of multiple volunteers, the Overlook islands have taken on a whole new look.
The Walder Trail islands had annuals planted, and several lantana replaced.
The Anahuac island was completely overhauled. Topsoil was brought in, existing plants were transplanted, annuals were planted, and grass was laid. The tree was trimmed as well.
Out in front of the entry, begonias and silver leaf were planted for a lovely manicured look. The benches were straightened up and the area weeded.
Mulch has been added to all islands - special thanks to Dewayne Blasingame, Mark Pistorio, Jason Meek, and David Kennedy for their efforts, as well as to Lawns by Richard for delivering the mulch free of charge!
None of this could have been possible without the tireless efforts of our volunteers: The Meeks, The Jarvies, The Kennedys, The Walsh's, The Heffrons, The Smiths, The Stahls, The Bradleys, The Jenkins, The Lowrances, The Tomkewitz's, The Kents.

Easter Egg Hunt Canceled
Mother nature decided not to cooperate with us and the Overlook Easter Egg Hunt was canceled. The eggs for each age group were redistributed to all those who had planned to participate, along with many of the goodies that were baked for the event.
Names were thrown in a hat and drawn randomly for the golden eggs: Johnathon Stahl won for the 3 and unders, Bailey Kennedy won for the 4,5&6 year olds, and Jake Jarvie won for the 7 and ups!
Thanks to all those who planned to participate, those who baked goodies for the event, and to those who helped coordinate the efforts, especially Rhoda Jarvie and Mallory Heffron. Thank you!!!!
