Overlook Ladies Gone Wild!
No, it's not the latest South Padre Spring Break video to hit the stores! It's the new, fun idea for the ladies of The Overlook to kick up their heels and have some quality girl time.
Bunko will now be held once every other month. (Please see Nancy Townsend if you would like to consider being a host.) The ladies will now start alternating Ladies Night Out on the off months.
The Spring Bunko Schedule is:
February - Sharon Hernandez's Home
April - Mary Jenkins' Home
June - Colleen Douglas' Home
Stay tuned for more exciting details coming your way!
Social Committee Makes Big Plans for 2004
The social committee met Wednesday, January 28th to plan the fun and exciting community events for The Overlook this year. These events include:
Easter Egg Hunt, to be co-chaired by Kristen Smith and Rhoda Jarvie. Date has been tentatively set for Saturday, April 3rd. Expect more details coming soon!
Spring Garage Sale, to be chaired by Colleen Douglas. Tentative date for this event is Saturday, May 8th, so start saving up your unwanted items!
National Night Out, to be co-chaired by Colleen Douglas and Samantha Kennedy. The date for this fun event is Tuesday, August 3rd, so mark your calendars and prepare to come out and meet your neighbors!
Summer Progressive Bar-B-Q, to be co-chaired by Carol Schuppenhauer and Kristen Smith. That's right - last year's event was so much fun, we decided to do it again! Tentative date has been set for Saturday, June 19th. Anyone considering being a host for this year's event can contact Kristen or Carol.
The social committee is looking for a volunteer to chair this year's Back to School Luau. Date TBA.
Halloween Party, to be co-chaired by Rhoda Jarvie, Samantha Kennedy, and Valkyrie Meek. This year, Halloween falls on a Sunday, so we're hoping for LOTS of folks to come out and enjoy the annual hot dog fest!
The social committee is looking for a volunteer to chair this year's Christmas Progressive Dinner as well. More info tba.
Overlook Vehicle Stickers Have Arrived
In an effort to assist our Security Committee with keeping our community safe, all homeowners will be issued numbered Overlook vehicle stickers. This will help our security team quickly identify which vehicles belong in the neighborhood. Security Advisor Colleen Douglas will be distributing the stickers. Look forward to hearing from her soon!
