Spring Brush Pick Up

The Annual Spring Brush Pick Up has been scheduled for Saturday, April 17th. Dial-A-Trailer will accept brush, household items, etc.

Easter Bunny Report

The Second Annual Overlook Easter Egg Hunt is set for Saturday, April 10th (note the new date), at 10:30 a.m. We had so much fun last year, especially searching for the "golden egg!" Fun will begin in the Getman's yard for the 3 and unders, continuing on at the Heffron's yard for the 4 & 5 year olds, then ending up in the Kennedy's yard for the 6 & overs! When the hunting is concluded, snacks will be served.

Please bring one dozen filled eggs per child to the Heffron's or the Jarvie's by Friday, April 9th (preferably not chocolate, as melting may occur).

Anyone interested in volunteering to supply baked goods can contact Rhoda Jarvie (LRJSJ@aol.com).

Anahuac Beautification In the Works

Yes folks, the moment we've all been eagerly awaiting has finally arrived......the landscape committee has enough money in the budget to make Anahuac beautiful!!!

Both sides of the street will be irrigated; start date is within the next two weeks, weather permitting. Afterward, the sides will be landscaped with grass, shrubs, and flowers. The Board of Directors will organize a community planting day, asking for volunteers to come help move dirt, grass, and plants. This allows us to use our budget for plants rather than labor! Stay tuned......

Spring Garage Sale Approaches

It is time to clean out those closets and prepare for our annual neighborhood Garage Sale! It will be Saturday, May 8 from 9am-1pm. The gate will be open beginning at 8am that morning. This year the Forest subdivision (next door) and Remington Oaks, (across Wilderness Oak), will be joining us for the garage sale. They will share the cost of advertising with us. We will experience much better traffic now that our 3 neighborhoods have joined forces! Please get your own permit from the city. They may be purchased at many of the HEB stores. If you don't have enough to sell on your own, get a few families together for one sale! For tips on having a successful sale, call Colleen at 497-2031. We will do a map showing shoppers where your house is, so let us know if you plan to have a sale by May 2.
