Pool Party Great Success

The August 18th Back to School Swim Party was a great success!  Families had fun swimming, playing volleyball, tossing water balloons, taking turns at the piņata and trying to outbid each other in the silent auction!  Be sure to check the Social Committee Update for more details.

Yard of the Month

Congratulations to September's Yard of the Month winner, the Wallace Family at 417 Texas Point.  Be sure to check out the "Yard of the Month" link on the homepage, to catch a glimpse of the Wallace's beautiful home!  And remember, it's more fun if we all play!  Send in your nominations to davkenn@swbell.net by the 20th of the month, or whenever you get a friendly reminder in your email box!

 

 Silent Auction Helps to Beautify Community

 The silent auction held at the August 18th Back to School Pool Party raised almost $2,000 to go toward beautification of the neighborhood. The business community and individuals alike came together to support the effort!  

 

 

 

Homeowners rallied to outbid each other on items such as wine baskets, gift certificates for massages, savings bonds, pet pampering, a ten pound chocolate bar, gourmet dinners, Mary Kay products, coffee baskets, interior design services and much, much more. The hottest items appeared to be the candy bar, the aquarium and the wine baskets! Thanks to all the homeowners who participated, and who made raising a little money a lot of fun!! Moms Are Big Help

The Overlook extends a big thank you to the Moms who have been patrolling the front entrance during school bus pick-up and drop-off.  With so many kids and busses, extra care is needed to make sure our little ones stay safe.
