Overlook Holds Fall Garage Sale

The Overlook held its fall garage sale Saturday, October 5th.  Thankfully, the gates were opened *on time* and homeowners were able to do a good business!  Thank you Nancy Townsend for coordinating the garage sale efforts!

Richard and Marcia Hughes were driving some hard bargains!

Lots of activity at the Andres' home!

Andy & Paula Andres, Mallory and Connor Heffron enjoy the lovely garage sale weather!

Overlook Brush Clean Up A Success

Saturday, October 12th, the City of San Antonio sent us a BIG truck and dumpster for collection of unwanted trash, brush, trees, etc.

Special thanks go to the Bradley's, who allowed us to park the dumpster and truck on their property.

Mike & Elizabeth Bradley dispose of some unwanted pallets.

Many households were able to utilize this service, which was provided at no charge other than breakfast and lunch for the two workmen.  It was decided that because of the good turnout and use of this program, it will become an annual or biannual event.  The city will also accept old furniture, appliances, etc.

Halloween Hot Dog Party Great Success

Spiderman keeps the Overlook safe for Halloween fun!

Lots of fun, food, and fellowship was to be had in the Tomkewitz driveway on Halloween!  Neighbors gathered to enjoy hot dogs, chips, and dessert, sip hot cider, and "ooh and aah" over costume choices, before setting off to trick-or-treat.  Even President Kennedy showed up for a little "monkey-business!"

Ninja stands guard over party-goers.

The Overlook sincerely appreciates the Social Committee's efforts in coordinating the event.  See the Social Committee Update for all the special "thank you's!"  The party was such a success, in fact, that plans are underway for a bigger and better party next year; at press time, there was a rumor of a chili cook-off in the works........

Party planners Nancy Townsend, Colleen Douglas, & Katherine Douglas.

Thank you, Overlook community, for braving the chilly weather and taking the time to get to know your neighbors!
